Posters and Oral Presentations

Every participant should send a short CV and is welcome to submit a title and 300-word abstract for a poster. We will try to accommodate as many posters as we can, rotating them if necessary. Those who wish to give an oral presentation (12 min + 3 min discussion) should indicate it on the registration form; on this regard, a selection will be made, as there will be only 6-8 available slots for such presentations. Poster should be a maximum of 100 cm high and 60 cm wide. Consider to arrange materials in columns rather than rows - this format is easier for viewers to read.

Abstract Preparation

An abstract must be submitted for each type of presentation (poster or oral), the maximum length of this abstract is 300 words. For editorial reasons, we can handle only files saved in Microsoft Word format (.doc). Please name the abstract file after the presenter's surname (eg. Smith.doc ). The character type should be Calibri, size 12, spacing 1, fully justified. The title of the abstract should be in capital letters and bold style. Name of the authors (Family name, Abbreviations of First and Middle names) should follow on a separate line, neither in capital nor in bold style. First name should correspond to presenter. Put reminds (asterisks, or other symbols) after the authors' names to label different institutions. On a separate line put the affiliation of the investigators (this should be in italic style) including the name of the institution, the city, and the country. On a separate line put the e-mail address of the presenter. The text of the abstract will follow after one line spacing.

COVID 19 INFORMATION: for live participation to the event it is mandatory to provide proof of being fully vaccinated or (in case of medical exemption, documented by a MD) a negative molecular test to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive to Erice. During the meeting in the main hall participants must wear surgical masks.

Italy is among those countries with the highest percentage of the population fully vaccinated (75% vs 62% of Germany, 68% of France, 68% of UK, and 66% of USA - from Reuter, November 2021). This does not mean that there are no risks, but the situation in Hospitals and more in general in terms of pandemic control is significantly positive. Right now there is a rise in infections all over Europe as a sign of another wave coming. Clearly, as we learnt so far this is a dynamic situation, we therefore will update you about the COVID 19 infection numbers and measures in Sicily.
